Getting started with Simple Forum

Now you have installed the Simple Forum, let's configure it.

Setup cron job

Please setup cron job as

* * * * * php /path/to/UploadFolder/artisan schedule:run >> /dev/null 2>&1

It's okay to run the schedule every minute as it won't run if there is no task. But if you don't want then you can set to run once/twice an hour.

Please update setting for logo, favicon and all others to personalize your new forum. You have following settings options

  1. App Settings
  2. Forum Settings
  3. Ads & Analytics Settings
  4. Social Auth & Link Settings
  5. Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Please add/edit user roles and set their permissions as you need.

You can add FAQs, knowledge base and articles. You can enabled/disable these feature in settings.
